Job summary

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and prepare blood specimens, verify orders, and ensure accurate patient identification. You will work closely with care teams to support timely testing and communication with patients and families.

This role requires phlebotomy certification within 1 year, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety and quality in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification within 1 year.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, hospital employees and the public.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Willingness to increase knowledge of laboratory/hospital functions.
• Demonstrates creativity and initiative in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy using venipuncture, microcollection, blood cultures and other procedures.
• Identify and verify patient information and orders; ensure proper sample labeling and handling.
• Enter patient data into LIS/HIS systems and relay results as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the patient draw area; follow biohazard procedures.
• Serve as a resource and train new staff as needed.
