Job summary

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing at our facility in Delaware. You will review physician orders, verify patient information, and obtain accurate demographics while representing the lab professionally to patients and families.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture across all ages, preparing specimens for testing, and performing EKGs and pre-surgical collections as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture of patients across all ages. Prepares laboratory specimens for testing.
• Represents the laboratory to patients and their families in a positive way.
• Reviews physician requisitions, accurately places orders, obtains clinical and demographic information.
• Verifies patient identification and correct specimen type for tests requested.
• Performs EKGs as well as other pre-surgical sample collections.
