UChicago Medicine in Hyde Park is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Registry) to rotate through all areas of the outpatient pharmacy and support pharmaceutical care for patients. You will fill first doses, restock, prepare outpatient prescriptions, and assist in training new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current valid license as a pharmacy technician in the State of Illinois required.
• Minimum of one year pharmacy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process, prepare and dispense medication orders and supplies according to policy and procedure.
• Prepare outpatient prescriptions and perform cashiering duties in the Outpatient Pharmacy.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacists, and team members to process prescription orders and escalate as needed.
• Assist in training new pharmacists and technician staff and maintain competency through CE.
