Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a detail-oriented pharmacy technician to support daily operations in the Outpatient Pharmacy. Under supervision, you will package, prepare, record and distribute medications, while ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a current Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy license and PTCB or ExCPT certification. Strong math, computer skills, reliability and teamwork are essential; prior pharmacy experience is

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy is required.
PTCB or ExCPT certification is required.
Proficiency in math and ability to use a computer.
Able to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy and reliability.
Positive work ethic and teamwork in a pharmacy setting.
Preferred: recent pharmacy work experience within the past 6 months.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day operations within the outpatient pharmacy.
Package, prepare and document all forms of medications and distribution.
Maintain inventory and document in pharmacy records and tracking reports.
Interact with providers and patients to resolve issues and communicate information.
Operate the prescription dispensing robot and verify patient identifiers.
Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and teamwork.
