Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Outpatient Prescription Center in Worcester, MA. This full-time, on-site role supports medication packaging, dispensing, and patient communication under supervision of a pharmacy supervisor and pharmacist.

The position requires MA Pharmacy license, PTCB or ExCPT certification, and strong math and computer skills. A rotating schedule with a 40-hour week is offered, with potential signing bonus eligibility discussed during

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
Certified by one of the national governing bodies such as PTCB, or the National Healthcareer Association ExCPT.
Proficiency in math and, knowledge and ability to use a computer.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy, efficiency, and dependability.
Preferred to have recent pharmacy work experience within the past 6 months.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day operations within the Outpatient Pharmacy.
Assist in prescription intake, processing, and documentation.
Maintain inventory and cycle counts; update patient records and pharmacy tracking reports.
Interact with providers, staff, and patients to resolve issues and inquiries.
Enter new prescriptions and refills; verify patient identifiers at dispensing.
