Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows and patient care experiences.

You will work 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays, supporting pharmacists and other technicians in prescription prep and medication access. This role requires a high school diploma and active pharmacy technician certification.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
Any lapse or failure to meet these requirements may result in disciplinary action, up to termination, at the hiring manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations, and compounds medications as appropriate to practice site.
Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and understands when verification is required.
Maintains medication supplies including monitoring controlled substances inventories and 340B/Charging management as required.
Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
