Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is launching a new outpatient pharmacy.

We are seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients. You will work with pharmacists and technicians to establish processes for a growing program and ensure high-quality patient care in a retail-like setting with a strong care focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist when tasks require verification.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substance inventories per policy.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient-safety initiatives.
