Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead the Outpatient Pharmacy team and ensure efficient prescription processing and patient service.

The role oversees daily operations of about 16 technicians, maintains staffing and training, and ensures compliance with regulations, while final verification remains with a licensed pharmacist. This position offers a full-time schedule with potential Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision for a team of approximately 16 Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitor and optimize technician workflow to ensure timely prescription processing.
• Oversee medication preparation, dispensing support, and prescription processing for pharmacist verification.
• Coach and mentor staff to support performance and growth.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and ongoing education for Technicians.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules to meet staffing needs.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance evaluations with leadership and HR.
• Monitor productivity and quality and lead improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regs, accreditation standards, and policies.
• Support inventory management and controlled substance documentation.
• Serve as liaison between frontline staff and pharmacy leadership.
