Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering exceptional patient service. The role involves accurate prescription labeling, inventory control, and compliance with regulatory standards.

The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and proficiency with pharmacy software in a fast-paced retail or clinical setting. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Active pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred or required depending on state regulations.
• Strong knowledge of medication names, dosages, and pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Prescription preparation and dispensing support to pharmacists.
• Accurately measure, count, and label medications for patient prescriptions.
• Operate pharmacy equipment such as pill counters and label printers.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
• Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues with insurers.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records.
• Monitor inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to dispensing and record-keeping.
• Assist in training and guiding new pharmacy technicians and interns.
