Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician at Advocate Christ Medical Center - Outpatient Pharmacy in Oak Lawn, IL. You will assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and distribution, while supporting inventory and data entry tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, state licensure/certification within 18 months, and willingness to obtain CPhT or ExCPT credentia l.

Responsibilities

Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
Selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
Assists with medication distribution tasks and phone screening/ routing.
Supports daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
Completes documentation for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances.
Performs nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixture where applicable.
Inspects medication storage areas for policy adherence.
Records patient admission histories and data in the pharmacy system.
Develops competence in third-party billing functions.
May participate in quality improvement initiatives and training of technicians.
