Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, and support patient care in a growing program.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and clarifies when a pharmacist must verify tasks.
• Maintains medication supplies and inventories, including controlled substances.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
