Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Outpatient Pharmacy Prescription Center on a 40-hour day shift. You will assist in packaging, preparation of medications, dispensing, and maintaining accurate records under supervision.

You will process prescriptions in the computer system, communicate with providers and patients about orders and insurance, help with inventory and quality improvement, and support a fast-paced hospital pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy license.
• National certification such as PTCB or ExCPT is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day operations within the Outpatient Pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions through the pharmacy computer system and maintain records.
• Interact with providers and patients to clarify orders and discuss insurance issues.
• Assist with inventory management and quality improvement activities.
