Job summary

Under supervision of a pharmacy supervisor and pharmacist, you will process prescriptions, manage stock, and resolve insurance issues while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy license.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
• Proficiency in math and computer use; ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and professional demeanor expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in Outpatient Pharmacy.
• Assist in Meds to Beds prescription intake and delivery; document in patient record and pharmacy tracking report.
• Process prescriptions through the pharmacy computer system.
• Maintain inventory with daily cycle counts and remove outdated items.
• Interact with providers and staff to clarify orders; update patients on out-of-stock or insurance issues.
• Enter new prescriptions and refills; resolve common insurance adjudication issues.
• Answer doctor and patient telephone calls; operate dispensing robot; ensure accuracy in dispensing.
