Job summary

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Assistant Supervisor in the West Union Pharmacy. You will lead pharmacy technicians, create schedules, supervise onboarding, training, and coaching, and ensure efficient workflow with inventory control.

The role includes administrative time, process improvement, and collaboration with leadership to meet patient care and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Board approved Pharmacy Technician training program or National Certification required.
• AT LEAST 90% on SOMC Competency Assessment within 2 years.
• Advanced technician certifications (PTCB/NPTA/BPTS) within 4 years.
• OH & KY regulatory certifications must be obtained within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and coordinate day-to-day pharmacy workflow for efficiency.
• Coordinate monthly technician and cashier schedule including daily assignments and lunches.
• Manage scheduler for technicians, cashiers, and interns; approve PTO and timecards.
• Act as Inventory Champion; oversee cycle counts, deliveries, returns, and obsolescence.
