Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Rita's Medical Center Outpatient Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist for PRN coverage. The pharmacist will review orders, ensure safe, rational, and cost-effective therapy, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

You will oversee dispensing, supervise staff, and support medication education across the care team. The role requires ACPE-accredited education, licensure in the state, and experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required).
• Advanced pharmacy degree - Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred).
• Current license to practice as a pharmacist in the practicing state(s).

Responsibilities

• Process orders and review medications for safety and efficacy.
• Oversee dispensing and ensure timely medication availability to patients and staff.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage inventory security.
• Provide medication education to patients to support adherence.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to optimize therapy.
