Job summary

Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation is seeking a pharmacist competent in assessment, calculation and recommendation of medication therapy for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The role involves dispensing medicines per prescriptions and providing medication information to physicians and nurses.

You will help maintain inventory and assist in supervising pharmacy staff. Qualified candidates will be licensed or eligible for licensure in Georgia, with desirable prior pharmacist

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia, or eligible for licensure within 90 days through reciprocity or exam.
• Experience as a Registered Pharmacist is desirable.
• Familiar with professional and commercial aspects of pharmacy.
• Understands the role of the Pharmacy Department in Outpatient sector and its inter-relationship with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assess, calculate and recommend medication therapy for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult and Geriatric patients.
• Compound and dispense medicines according to prescriptions by physicians, dentists and other practitioners.
• Furnish information concerning medications to physicians and nurses.
• Assist in maintenance of pharmacy inventory.
• Assist in supervision and appraisal of pharmacy employees.
• Perform related duties.
