Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a pharmacist who will competently assess, calculate, and recommend medication therapy for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients. This role involves dispensing medicines per physician prescriptions and providing medication information to physicians and nurses.

Additionally, the pharmacist assists in inventory management and in supervision and appraisal of pharmacy staff, performing related duties to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Fully licensed as a Pharmacist in Georgia or eligible for licensure within 90 days.
• Licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Some experience as a Registered Pharmacist is desirable.
• Familiar with professional and commercial phases of pharmacy.
• Understands the role of the Pharmacy Department in Outpatient sector and its inter-relationship with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and dispenses medicines and preparations according to prescriptions.
• Furnishes information concerning medications to physicians and nurses.
• Assists in maintenance of pharmacy inventory.
• Assists in supervision and appraisal of pharmacy employees.
• Performs related duties.
