Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA seeks a Pharmacist to ensure safe medication orders and proper storage, preparation, and delivery of drugs to patient care areas. The role collaborates with nurses and physicians to ensure safe administration and monitoring, while complying with state/federal laws and Joint Commission standards.

The Pharmacist will support medication use systems and ensure policies are followed, with emphasis on safety, quality, and patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital

Qualifications

• Licensure or license eligible (must obtain within 90 days of employment) in state of Georgia.
• Doctor of Pharmacy and previous institutional pharmacy experience preferred.
• Completion of PGY1 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures medication orders are safe and appropriate; drugs are stored, prepared, and delivered to patient care areas following professional standards.
• Collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure safe and effective administration and monitoring of medications.
