Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacist to provide safe, effective, patient‑centered pharmacy services across outpatient operations, including Baptist Cancer Network, Cancer Center-Port Arthur, Specialty Pharmacy, and Orange Infusion Pharmacy.

The role emphasizes accurate prescription review, supervision of technicians, infusion therapy support with oncology teams, and coordination of specialty medications to ensure timely access and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1-3 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets, and verifies prescriptions and medication orders for appropriateness.
• Oversees preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications by technicians.
• Supports infusion therapy by reviewing treatment plans and collaborating with oncology and infusion teams.
• Coordinates specialty medication services including access, prior authorization, adherence, counseling, and ongoing therapy management.
• Maintains knowledge of processes, systems, and technology across sites.
• Educates and trains staff, students, and others as assigned.
