Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in the outpatient setting on Gonda 15. You will coordinate perianesthesia care, provide moderate sedation under supervision, and educate patients and families while supporting transitions of care.

The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate care, mentor colleagues, and participate in quality improvement while aligning with Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model. Nursing residency options exist for new grads.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience required.
• RN start date rules: evidence of BSN within five years for certain hire dates; older start dates require BSN completion.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct patient care in the outpatient setting.
• Coordinate perianesthesia care in pre/post area and provide moderate sedation as directed.
• Teach patients and families and orient peers; ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Lead and participate in teamwork to support Mayo Clinic Nursing model.
