Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida seeks a highly qualified Physical Therapist to determine diagnoses and create comprehensive plans of care for orthopedic patients. Required are a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred) and a current PT license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and plan care for physical therapy patients following practice standards.
• Design and implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities and insurance guidelines.
• Assess functional mobility and monitor progress, adjusting plan as needed.
• Document care accurately and timely per policy and standards.
• Engage in physician outreach to build referral relationships.
• Contribute to community education and outreach activities.

Job Description:

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants
• Up to $3000 Relocation Bonus for Eligible Applicants
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm or 10am -7pm
• Locations: Advent Health Sports Med and Rehab, 400 Celebration Way Celebration or Advent Health Sports Medicine and Rehab, 40124 US 27 Davenport, FL or Advent Health 5840 W IRLO BRONSON HWY, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
• The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $35/hour.
• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures.
• Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards. Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director
• Performs other duties as assigned.
