Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is hiring a Physical Therapist for a sports medicine/orthopedic focus. The role includes a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and relocation up to $3,000. Schedule is 40 hours/week, with day shifts; travel to other clinics may be required.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, planning and implementing care, supervising PT assistants, and contributing to performance improvement and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Physical Therapist license or PT-TEMP eligibility.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy or eligibility to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Determine PT diagnosis and establish plan of care with referrals when outside PT scope.
• Design and implement treatment plan using standards, techniques, modalities and insurance guidelines.
• Assess mobility, muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations per guidelines.
• Oversee PT assistants and rehab aides per regulations.
• Support quality initiatives and department standards.
• Engage in community education and outreach activities.

Job Description

• Up to $10,000.00 Sign On Bonus

• Location: Sports Medicine and Rehab 3310 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, 32778 With some travel to other clinics as needed
• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director.
• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community. Other duties as assigned
