Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our Sports Med and Rehab team. You will evaluate patients, design and implement individualized plans of care, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure the best outcomes.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm. Location: Advent Health Sports Med and Rehab, Orange City, FL. First-year payoff includes sign-on up to $10,000 and relocation up to $3,000. Minimum pay rate: $35/hour.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
• PT license (PT or PT-TEMP) required
• CPR certification required
• English reading/writing speaking ability required

Responsibilities

• Determine diagnosis and plan of care; refer out if needed.
• Design and implement treatment plan per standards and patient needs.
• Assess functional mobility and evaluate neuromuscular systems.
• Monitor patient response and adjust treatment plan accordingly.
• Document charges accurately per policy and CPT guidelines.
• Market to physicians to build referral relationships.
• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations; support community outreach.

Job Description:

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants

• The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $35/hour.
• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures.
• Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards. Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

Education:

• Doctorate [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• in Physical Therapy

Work Experience:

• Treating Neurological patients [Preferred]
