Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, NC is seeking an experienced Palliative Care NP or PA for 100% outpatient care. The role involves treating patients in their homes or facilities in Moore County with a dedicated care team and weekday schedule.

The position offers base salary plus quarterly productivity incentive, PSLF eligibility, generous PTO, retirement plans, CME allowance, license/DEA reimbursement, and tail malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
• PA must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• 2 years of advanced practice experience required; NPs function autonomously across all units.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
• Exceptional communication skills; must be able to effectively navigate sensitive patient/family discussions.
• Clean background, NC license, and NC DEA required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient palliative care APP will treat patients in their homes or facilities within Moore County.
• Be part of a care team of seven Palliative Care APPs and two social workers.
• Weekday position with protected administrative time.
