Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, NC, seeks an experienced Palliative Care NP/PA for 100% outpatient duties. The APP will treat patients in homes or facilities within Moore County and join a team of seven Palliative Care APPs and two social workers.

Schedule is weekday with protected admin time; 1:4 call with Hospice. Base salary plus quarterly incentives, PSLF eligibility, paid time off, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
• PA must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• 2 years of advanced practice experience required.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
• Exceptional communication skills; navigate sensitive patient/family discussions.
• Clean background, NC license, and NC DEA required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient palliative care to patients in homes or facilities within Moore County.
• Collaborate with a care team of seven Palliative Care APPs and two social workers.
• Weekday position with protected administrative time.
• Call schedule 1:4 weeks with Hospice: M-F 5:00 pm–8:30 am, 24-hour coverage on weekends.
