Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Sports Medicine and Rehab team. Evaluate orthopedic patients, design and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress to restore mobility and independence.

This full-time daytime role offers up to a $122k pay range, sign-on and relocation bonuses, and ongoing professional development within a compassionate, faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred).
• PT license in Florida (or eligible).
• Experience treating orthopedic patients preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine PT diagnosis and plan of care with referrals when needed.
• Design and implement treatment plans using standard techniques and insurance guidelines.
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and neuromuscular function.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• Document billing and clinical notes accurately.
• Support physician relations and community education initiatives.

Job Description

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants
• Up to $3000 Relocation Bonus for Eligible Applicants
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am -7pm
• Location: Advent Health Sports Med and Rehab, Sportsplex 8701 Maitland Summit Blvd, Orlando, FL 32810
• The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $35/hour.
• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures.
• Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards. Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director
• Performs other duties as assigned.
