Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for the Sports Medicine and Rehab facility in Lake Mary, Florida. The role involves evaluating patients, designing and implementing individualized plans of care, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The position requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred), BLS/CPR, and strong English communication. The schedule is Monday–Friday with day hours; relocation and sign-on incentives are available where

• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat general orthopedic patients.

• Maintain productivity and adjust hours to meet patient needs.

Job Description:

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants


• Up to $3000 Relocation Bonus for Eligible Applicants


• Location: Sports Medicine and Rehab 960 Rinehart, Lake Mary, Florida


• Schedule: Monday- Friday. Open 7am-7pm (shift To be determined)


• The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $36/hour.


• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.


• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.


• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.


• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.


• Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.


• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.


• Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.


• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.


• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director.


• Practices principles of professional development by maintaining clinical competencies, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.


• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.


• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.


• Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]


• Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]


• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

Field of Study:

Work Experience:

• Treating patients in General Orthopedic population and patients part of our "Female Lifespan Program" [Preferred]
