Job summary

UVA Health's Outpatient Surgery Center seeks experienced Operating Room RNs to provide perioperative care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting across multiple specialties, with exposure to general, gynecologic, urology, plastic, ENT, orthopedics, and robotic surgery.

The position offers four 10‑hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with no nights, no calls, no weekends, and no holidays, supporting professional growth and work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire preferred.
• Active RN licensure in Virginia or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Function in both scrub and circulating nurse roles across perioperative services.
• Deliver safe, high‑quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support a high‑volume ambulatory surgery program across multiple specialty service lines.
• Participate in cross‑training opportunities to expand clinical expertise and versatility.
• Contribute to teamwork, efficiency, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
