Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an experienced OR RN to provide perioperative nursing care in a specialized ambulatory setting. You will perform both scrub and circulating duties, supporting a high-volume ophthalmology-focused surgical schedule with teamwork and clinical focus.

The role offers four 10-hour shifts (6:45 AM–5:15 PM), free onsite parking, and a chance to practice in a standalone center near UVA Health’s main campus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care in ambulatory surgery settings.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties across procedures.
• Support a high-volume surgical workflow with emphasis on ophthalmology.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team.
• Prepare rooms, ensure patient readiness, maintain sterile technique, and support turnover.
• Work in a 4-OR, 1-procedure-room center with efficient scheduling.
