Job summary

University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Koman Outpatient Pavilion Urology Center in La Jolla. The role focuses on care coordination and management of oncology patients, with direct patient care in the clinic, clinical triage, and EPIC in-basket management.

The RN will cover sick calls and vacations for the urology nursing team, collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care teams, and adhere to ANA standards while delivering

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN license issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) year of relevant active nursing experience in a urology setting.
• Must have one (1) year of experience in an oncology setting.
• Demonstrates critical nursing thinking and clinical skills to identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results.
• Proven ability to coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple patient needs simultaneously to support timely assessments, smooth transitions, and consistent communication with patients and families.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
