Job summary

UC San Diego Health is currently seeking an experienced RN for the Koman Outpatient Pavilion Urology Center, focusing on care coordination and management of oncology patients. The RN will perform direct patient care in the clinic, engage in clinical triage, and oversee EPIC in-basket management while collaborating with Providers.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN License issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) year of relevant active RN experience in a urology setting.
• Must have one (1) year of active RN experience in an oncology setting.
• Demonstrates critical nursing thinking and clinical skills to identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results.
• Proven ability to coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple patient needs simultaneously to support timely assessments, smooth transitions, and consistent communication with patients and families.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.
