Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN day shifts in a hospital setting. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust individualized care plans, and administer medications per physician orders.

You will educate patients and families, collaborate with the medical team, and document care accurately. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and continuous professional development to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Basic nursing procedures and patient care planning knowledge.
• Ability to document accurately in medical records and charts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly evaluate and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient information and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve health outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to team members as needed.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations to stabilize patients.
