Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Cancer Clinic in Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, NJ, seeks a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cancer Clinic. You will perform nursing assessments, manage treatment-related symptoms, provide telephone triage, and coordinate care across the oncology team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires ADN, NJ RN license, and BLS; BSN is preferred. Previous oncology and ambulatory care experience are valued.

Qualifications

• ADN required and RN license in NJ.
• BLS certification required; BSN preferred.
• Oncology nursing experience and ambulatory care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and obtain medical histories.
• Assess symptoms, monitor toxicities, and identify changes needing intervention.
• Provide telephone triage and coordinate follow-up with oncology care team.
• Collaborate with physicians to implement treatment plans and support care continuum.
• Coordinate care among oncology, infusion, radiation, surgery, imaging, and other services.
• Administer injections and manage venous access devices.
• Educate patients and families about cancer diagnoses, treatments, and medications.
• Support patients through planning, active treatment, follow-up, survivorship, and supportive care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care coordination records.
