Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for an outpatient Medical Oncology clinic in Phoenix. The role focuses on nursing assessments, symptom management, and education for patients and families, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The position supports coordination with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams, emphasizing compassionate, personalized care and evidence-based practice. Schedule options include 8am-4:30pm or four 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the clinical area is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel/acute care experience may be required as stated.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care with realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patient/family.
• Implements the plan through direct patient care and coordination of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan of care as needed.
• Documents the assessment, plan, implementation and outcomes in the patient record.
• Provides care based on evidence and participates in professional practice development.
