Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider–Outpatient for a part-time role in Big Rapids, MI. The APP will provide comprehensive medical management of outpatient cancer patients under physician supervision, perform histories and exams, write orders and coordinate care in a collaborative team setting.

Eligible candidates are certified and licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with BLS certification; hematology/oncology experience is preferred

Qualifications

• Certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Holds current BLS card for Health Professionals.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive histories and physical examinations reflecting patient acuity.
• Documents progress notes capturing history and exam content.
• Coordinates and delivers medical care following treatment protocols and orders.
• Writes medications and orders to support the care plan, and interprets lab/radiology results.
• Seeks consultation from attending physicians to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Communicates with supervising physicians for continuity of care and patient safety.
