Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider – Outpatient to manage comprehensive medical care for assigned patients. The APP will exercise prudent clinical judgment, coordinate with physicians, and support treatment protocols in an outpatient setting.

This full-time role supports urology as the specialty area and is based at the Lansing site, with daytime Monday–Friday shifts and one set day off. Experience in hematology/oncology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Holds current BLS card for Health Professionals.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive histories and physical examinations reflecting patient acuity.
• Coordinates and delivers comprehensive medical care following treatment protocols and pathways.
• Writes orders/medications to support the patient’s plan of care and interprets labs/imaging.
• Seeks consultation from attending physicians as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborates with nursing and support staff to optimize patient care.
• Communicates with supervising physicians for continuity of care and patient education.
