Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers in Norton Shores, MI is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider - Outpatient to manage assigned patients with hematology/oncology care, 40 hours weekly, 8:00am to 6:00pm on-site at our Muskegon site.

The APP will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, follow treatment protocols, write orders, coordinate with physicians, and provide education and resources to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Education: Certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Holds current BLS card for Health Professionals.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive histories and physical exams reflecting patient acuity and presenting complaints.
• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive medical care including following treatment protocols and writing orders/medications.
• Collaborate with support staff and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Communicate with supervising physicians for continuity of care.
• Provide patient education and referrals for optimal outcomes.
