Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough patient evaluations to assess physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities and challenges.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve daily Living Skills, Functional Abilities, And Participation In Meaningful activities.
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, sensory integration, and functional training.
  • Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, or home modifications.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and ways to support ongoing recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, physicians) to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
  • Accurately document assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge plans according to professional and facility standards.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment.
  • Stay current with continuing education and evidence-based practices in the field of occupational therapy.
