Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Current state OT certification/license required.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate required.
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification, AOTA and OTAC are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting to improve functional skills and independence.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatrics.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on strategies and equipment use.
  • Document evaluations, progress, and discharge recommendations in the EMR.

Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation- Occupational Therapy

Employment Type: Per Diem ( PRN)

Shifts Available: Days, Variable Shifts

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 6 pm
and Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Location: Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS

Join our Outpatient Rehabilitation Team and make a meaningful impact through patient-centered care. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans that help patients improve function, maximize independence, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

In this role, you will provide one-on-one therapy in a collaborative outpatient setting, treating patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, lymphedema, and pelvic health conditions. The ideal candidate is dedicated to evidence-based practice, functional outcomes, and exceptional patient care while partnering with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Evaluate and treat patients in an acute hospital setting to improve functional mobility, ADLs, safety, and independence
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medically complex adult and geriatric patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support safe and timely discharge planning
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use
  • Document evaluations, progress, and discharge recommendations in the electronic medical record
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC
