Job summary

UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to support our Colorectal Surgery Clinic. This outpatient role focuses on direct patient care, coordination, and participation in the care team.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, on-site with no evenings or weekends. Responsibilities include patient care, stocking, ordering supplies, and registration. The nurse will advocate for patients and collaborate with physicians, MAs, and office staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years nursing experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Outpatient office experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in practicing state; CPR/BLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in work that improves patient care and the professional practice environment.
• Formulates goals and a plan of care with patient as partner.
• Triages patient situations and coordinates care with physician.
• Accounts for outpatient treatment follow up and maintains patient caseload.
• Facilitates services outside the facility and coordinates homecare where needed.
• Supports quality improvement and regulatory readiness.
