Job summary

UPMC is seeking a full-time, flex OP Nurse Coordinator to support the Shadyside Centre Avenue Cancer Pavilion in Pittsburgh. This pivotal role triages calls and MyUPMC messages, coordinates patient care with the multidisciplinary team, and supports surgeons’ schedules and records gathering to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure and CPR/BLS certifications are required or preferred per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming calls and MyUPMC messages, coordinating patient care needs with the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor inpatient follow-up, discharge planning, and post-hospital visits to ensure seamless cancer care.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize scheduling, treatment plans, and medical records gathering.
