Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare patient doses, perform radiologic exams, and conduct QC on radiopharmaceuticals and imaging systems. You will work with radiology and cardiology teams to deliver accurate studies and data for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, maintaining accreditation, and documenting procedures in EPIC and SECTRA systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program.
• 0-2 years of modality specific experience.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or RT(N) registry eligible with B.S./B.A. preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Licensure from SCRQSA required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations timely, accurately, and safely for interpretation.
• Ensure scheduling does not fall behind and exams are routed to PACS for interpretation.
• Maintain logs and logs for QA and equipment performance.
• Perform QC on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals; adhere to NRC regulations.
• Prepare patient doses and ensure proper identification and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and families to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment following infection control guidelines.
