Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic examinations in adult and pediatric settings. The role emphasizes image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow within established protocols and RIS/PACS documentation.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT certification within 6 months, SC licensure, and BLS at minimum; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Zero to two years of modality specific work experience.
• ARRT registration within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current BLS required (AHA/BLS or ARC equivalent).
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level with proper anatomical positioning and physiology.
• Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.
• Complete patient screening, exam documentation, and image verification in RIS and PACS.
• Maintain image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow.
• Adhere to departmental standards and modality-specific protocols.
• Provide safe, compassionate patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment following universal precautions.
