Job summary

MUSC Health in Charleston is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare patient doses, perform diagnostic exams, and ensure safety and quality controls in line with NRC and ACR standards. The role includes radiopharmaceutical handling, image processing, and collaboration with Cardiology.

Education via ARRT/NMTCB program and BLS are required, with ACLS preferred. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine program.
• SC SCRQSA licensure required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 0-2 years of modality-specific experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient doses, identify, verify, and document radiopharmaceuticals.
• Perform quality control assessments on camera systems and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Interview patients, explain procedures, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following two-identifier process.
• Maintain safety standards and records for radioactive materials per NRC/ACR guidelines.
• Coordinate with Cardiology for cardiac studies and prepare data for radiologist review.
