Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks an outpatient Neurologist to join a premier regional facility in Mattoon, IL. This full-time emission offers a $475,000 annual compensation, with no mandatory hospital call and an established outpatient clinic team. Optional inpatient exposure is available.

The candidate will perform comprehensive outpatient evaluations, collaborate with a small clinic team, and maintain thorough EMRs. EEG/EMG optional; Illinois license and DEA registration required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed Neurology Residency.
• BC/BE in Neurology.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license (or eligible).
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong clinical judgment and a collaborative, team-based communication style.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient neurological evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a two-physician + APP clinic team.
• No mandatory hospital call; review critical labs as needed.
• Option to read EEGs and/or conduct EMG reads.
• Optional inpatient coverage opportunities.
• Maintain accurate EMR for all encounters and consultations.
