Job summary

University Medical Associates (UMA) is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and support patient-centered imaging services. The role requires ARRT radiology registration with MRI registry within one year of hire, and current BLS certification.

The position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to safety and protocol standards. This on-site role supports onboarding and training of staff, with a 40-hour workweek and a day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration in Radiology; MRI registry within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols.
• Selects appropriate imaging protocols and verifies patient identity using two identifiers.
• Completes and verifies patient history and screening forms prior to imaging.
• Documents exams in RIS and PACS, including contrast usage and supplies.
• Reviews images for quality and completeness prior to radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains image quality, productivity, and efficient patient workflow.
• Adheres to departmental standards and safety protocols.
• Provides patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.
• Communicates safety events and system downtime in the reporting system.
• Follows MRI safety requirements and radiation safety standards for CT.
