Job summary

University Medical Associates (UMA) seeks an MRI Technologist to perform radiologic examinations for radiologist interpretation at the East Cooper Clinic-Radiology. You will ensure safety, proper patient preparation, and accurate imaging across outreach sites as needed.

The role requires proficiency with MRI systems, image management, and adherence to infection control and safety guidelines; ARRT registration and BLS are required, with a 12-month registry window.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Current ARRT registration in Radiology or eligibility to register within 12 months.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations timely, accurately, and safely for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure the schedule stays on time; communicate delays to stakeholders.
• Achieve high image quality with proper markers, positioning, and minimal artifacts.
• Screen patients for safety, history, and contraindications before exams.
• Prepare radiology suite and adjacent areas; ensure supplies and cleanliness per guidelines.
• Verify equipment is available and functioning; report downtime promptly.
• Maintain infection control and document procedures and logs.
