Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration in Radiology is required.
• MRI registration with ARRT must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to produce high-quality special imaging with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented with effective collaboration.
• Familiarity with age-specific imaging criteria.
• Current BLS certification; either AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer.
• ARRT MRI registration must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Experience: 0-2 years.
• Skills include general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography; willing to rotate locations for staffing.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI examinations per established protocols.
• Selects imaging protocols and verifies patient identity.
• Completes and reviews patient history and screening forms.
• Documents exams in RIS and PACS, including contrast usage and creatinine levels.
• Assesses image quality prior to radiologist review.
• Ensures timely image transmission to PACS for physician review.
• Maintains image quality, productivity, and patient workflow.
• Adheres to department standards and protocols.
• Delivers safe, patient-centered imaging care.
• Documents safety and performance events in the reporting system.
• Complies with MRI safety and radiation safety standards.
• Performs routine equipment QC checks and assists with troubleshooting.
• Assists onboarding and training of staff and students.
• Contributes to a positive work and learning environment.
• Participates in quality improvement and safety meetings.
