Job summary

Adventist Health Reedley in Hanford, CA is seeking a friendly Assistant to provide non-invasive, routine technical support under supervision of licensed clinicians. This per diem role supports clinic operations and patient care in a multi-site health system serving the Central Valley.

Responsibilities include setting up exam rooms, taking patient vitals, performing venipunctures, and basic audiometry/vision testing. Must have a high school diploma; CMA/RMA preferred; BLS required.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• CMA or RMA or equivalent: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider: Required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision testing training or certificate within six months of hire: Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy: Required

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
