Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora is seeking a dedicated medical assistant to provide non-invasive, routine support under supervision. You will set up exam rooms, check in patients, and maintain care logs while performing vital signs and basic clinical tests.

The role requires a high school diploma and a BLS certification; CMA/RMA and phlebotomy certificates are preferred. The position is full-time, on-site in Sonora, with strong team collaboration in Internal Medicine.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• Audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate within six months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients, maintaining a recall and care log.
• Obtains vital signs and reports significant findings to the clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
